As an oncology nurse, Clark knew the symptoms, such as fever and infection, to look out for as a patient. Also, by crossing into the patient realm, Clark, who is in remission and back to nursing, now has a better understanding of patients and their side effects, such as fatigue and bone pain since she is “one in the club.”
